 11 Things to note about installation:

 13   1. The driver should work on all kernels from 1.2.13 until 1.3.71.
 14         (A kernel patch is supplied for 1.3.71 )

 16   2. If you include this into the kernel, you might need to change some
 17         options, such as for forcing IRQ.

 20   3.  To compile as a module, run 'make' .   
 21         Make will give you the appropriate options for various kernel support.

 23   4.  Loading the driver as a module :

 25         use:   insmod smc9194.o 
 26         optional parameters:
 27                 io=xxxx    : your base address
 28                 irq=xx     : your irq 
 29                 ifport=x   :    0 for whatever is default
 30                                 1 for twisted pair
 31                                 2 for AUI  ( or BNC on some cards )
